Trick kites have been around for a long time, although they have changed and improved over the years. What is actually a 'trick'? Tricks are usually performed in one place, in the air or close to the ground as part of a landing or take-off maneuver. Sometimes they are called 'slack-line tricks'.
By throwing both hands forward, the kite can be 'blocked' so that it floats. And can even be turned on its back, where it can float while there is no tension on the lines.
